PM Modi said, ‘I had to have a speech in the UN, I was going there for the first time. Sushma ji had reached me before. When I arrived there, she was at the gate to receive me. I said that I have to speak tomorrow morning, when discussing it, Sushma Ji asked where is your speech? I said that I will speak like this. He said that hey brother is not like this.

Modi said, ‘Sushma ji told me that this does not happen, India has to talk to the world, you cannot speak on your own free will. I was the PM and she was the fellow minister handling the Ministry of External Affairs, but she tells me that oh brother it doesn’t happen. I said that it is difficult for me to read, I will speak like this. He said no. He made me speech ready at night.

The PM said, ‘Sushma ji had a big request that no matter how good you are, how much feasibility is there in your thoughts, but there are some forums which have their own dignity and they are necessary. This was the first lesson Sushma Ji taught me. That is to say, whatever the responsibility is, but what is necessary should be called unimpeded. ‘ The PM said that everyone says that Sushma ji was soft, humble, but at the same time there was a need, she did not back down from speaking bitter.
