In response to a question about China’s comment in this regard, he said that making Ladakh a union territory is an internal matter of the country.

Let me tell you that in the ‘Jammu Kashmir Reorganization Bill, 2019’ introduced in Parliament on August 5, it is proposed to constitute Ladakh as a new Union Territory. On the questions raised on making Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh a union territory, Home Minister Amit Shah said that Ladakh has been made a union territory on the demand of the people there.

Along with this, the Home Minister assured the House that this government has no problem in restoring the status of full state of Jammu and Kashmir as soon as the situation is normal. The Home Minister said that Jawaharlal Nehru had said that 370 is temporary, it will be removed at the right time. But it took 70 years to remove it. He said, “We will not take 70 years to restore the status of Jammu and Kashmir’s full state.”

Earlier, answering the debate on Kashmir in the Lok Sabha, Home Minister Amit Shah said that the child and child of the country speaks that Kashmir is an integral part of India. Why did he have to say that Kashmir is an integral part of India? Do we ever ask that Uttar Pradesh is an integral part of India?
